Executive Leadership Council

 

The Executive Leadership Council is the lead sponsor for Leadership Youth. Leadership Youth expresses their appreciation to the Salem Chamber's Executive Leadership Council for their generous sponsorship of this two-year program.

Mission:
Develop and provide leadership to work jointly with business, community and government interests to ensure balanced decision making in maintaining Salem's vitality and livability.

The Executive Leadership Council Is Committed To:

  • Being the lead sponsor of the Salem Chamber of Commerce leadership youth program.

  • Creating a forum where private business owners, CEOs and top business decision-makers can share ideas about business, community and government.

  • Encouraging and mentoring Salem Chamber of Commerce members to become active in chamber, civic or statewide activities that affect a healthy business climate.

  • Working with any other committees within the Salem Chamber of Commerce to fulfill the mission of the chamber.

Criteria For Membership:

  • Be in good standing as a member of Salem Chamber of Commerce.

  • Make a commitment to *participate in 100% of the leadership council meetings.

  • Meetings will take place quarterly on the 4th Tuesday of the month, noon-1:30 p.m. at a local restaurant. 

  • Invest $625 per member per year to support expenses associated with the leadership youth program.

  • Must be a private business owner, CEO or a top decision-maker in private for profit business.

  • Must be willing to serve on at least one chamber committee or task force.

  • Membership will be limited to the first 60 members who make the commitment.
