STORAGE COMPANY COLLECTING COATS FOR KIDS
Goal of donating 280 coats is in reach
Salem, OR: Simple Box, a portable storage company located in Salem, is partnering with the YMCA® to collect winter coats and clothing for children in need. The coat drive will run from December 1 through December 14 and the company has a goal of gathering 280 coats.
With a colder than average winter expected, Simple Box employees brainstormed ways to help the community. “Our mission is to make a difference whether it’s with containers or any other resource we have,” says company founder Ross Black, “so when I heard about the need, I knew we had to do something.” The company chose the YMCA® because of their direct connections to clients in need of the warm winter clothing.
Those wanting to donate new and gently used winter coats, gloves, and clothing are invited to give donated items to Simple Box delivery drivers or bring items to a Simple Box sales office. In the spirit of giving back, everyone who donates will be entered into a drawing for several door prizes, including restaurant gift certificates and movie passes.
