Serve on Our Board of Directors
As we serve our members and our communities, we invite all members to submit a nomination or to directly apply for a position on the Board of Directors for the Salem Area Chamber. In leading useful lives and in giving back to the community alongside fellow businesses, organizations, and individuals, you’ll experience a profound set of encounters with others and impactful stories that will lift all of us to a better Salem.
The application process is simple: submit the nomination form below, attach a resume or short bio sketch, and include a professional photograph if available. The application process is new: we want any member interested in serving to have that opportunity to serve a three (3) year term.
Nominations are open from May 16th through June 9th to all of our members.
The Board of Directors includes up to 25 Directors, with four (4) vacancies for terms starting July 1, 2017. Once filled, these positions would serve a 3-year term from July 1, 2017 through June 30, 2020.
Many of Salem’s most successful servant leaders have had the experience of serving on the Chamber Board of Directors. Those who have served will tell you that their Salem Chamber Board experience positively impacted their lives, improved their businesses acumen, and created opportunity for enduring relationships. The Board is a catalyst and an architect for extraordinary effort readily seen through the work of the Salem Chamber staff and their successful programs and support.
