For 11 days, the Oregon State Fair is full of life. It is ferris wheel rides and the smell of elephant ears, petting chicks in incubators and carnival games that reward you with giant stuffed bears.

But the other 354 days during the year tell a very different story.

I’m not sure who to contribute this saying to, but it goes, “The only constant in life is change.” I like how it uses a seeming contradiction to express a profound truth.
