The next event in our 2024 LEAD (Learn, Empower, Advance, Develop) Small Business Series welcomes tax expert Amy Jordan and professional consultant and small-business owner Jim Vu to discuss the importance of financial management in starting or growing your business. Learn the essentials about tax planning, balance sheets, and how to manage your money and accurately measure your business growth. With sound fiscal discipline and a solid foundation, you’ll then be able to uncover some of the keys to unlocking more profit.

About Amy Jordan:

Amy Jordan is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and has served as the Senior Tax Manager with Doty Pruett Wilson, PC since November 2020. As a professional with more than 10 years of experience in accounting, Amy sees herself as a problem-solver more than a number counter, saying, “I love puzzles and I truly believe that tax planning is simply a massive puzzle begging to be solved.” Known for being very relational, reputable, and trustworthy, Amy loves “building relationships with clients and learning about their business and goals on a more intimate level.”

About Jim Vu:

Jim Vu is the Owner of Core Solutions Consulting, a business consulting firm in Salem, Oregon. Jim is a graduate of The Foster School of Business at the University of Washington.

Jim has experience in marketing, sales, and finance, with careers in pharmaceutical sales, commercial lending, real estate investing, and education. His diverse background brings an overall view of everyday decision-making aligning with long-term goals. His strength is the ability to take numbers that can be overwhelming and show the story they tell. By taking numbers off the Income Statement and Balance Sheet, Jim creates a compass to identify if your business is moving towards your overall goals.
