2026- 2027 Forum Speaker Series on October 19

The 2026–2027 Forum Speaker Series is back! Join us Monday, October 19 at 11:30 AM at the Salem Convention Center, featuring U.S. Senator Ron Wyden of Oregon!

Join us for an opportunity to hear directly from U.S. Senator Ron Wyden of Oregon as he shares his perspectives on issues impacting Oregon, our communities, businesses, and the nation. Senator Wyden has represented Oregon in the U.S. Senate since 1996 and currently serves as Ranking Member of the Senate Finance Committee, in addition to serving on the Committees on Energy and Natural Resources, the Budget, and Intelligence.

On September 14, 2026, the Salem Chamber’s Forum Speaker Series kicked off its 2026-2027 season with a Marion County Commissioner Candidate Forum featuring Commissioner Kevin Cameron, Commissioner Colm Willis, and candidate Maria Hinojos Pressey.

The candidates shared their platforms, vision for Marion County, and perspectives on issues impacting the community, followed by an audience Q&A session. The forum provided attendees with an opportunity to hear directly from the candidates and learn more about their priorities and plans for Marion County. The discussion highlighted a variety of topics important to local businesses, residents, and the future of our community.

The event also included the presentation of our monthly Spirit of Salem Award, recognizing an individual or organization making a positive impact in the Salem community.

About the Series

Hear from business and community leaders who inform, inspire, and network with key decision-makers within our community at the Forum Speaker Series luncheons. Featured speakers cover a wide variety of topics designed to build awareness, foster understanding, and spark conversation in the community. The nine-month series runs from September through June.

The Forum Speaker Series aims to deliver content, sometimes through controversial speakers, intended to spark conversation in Salem. The inclusion of these speakers does not imply Chamber endorsement or recommendation of any person, political party, idea, or previous action by these individuals.

The views and opinions expressed in any Forum event do not necessarily state or reflect those of the Salem Area Chamber of Commerce. The Salem Chamber hosts relevant conversations in town and in the state, and you can join them by attending the Forum Speaker Series.
