The American Physical Therapy Association has awarded Salem’s Mike Studer, of Northwest Rehabilitation Associates, the highest designation that a PT can earn. Mr. Studer, a PT of 30 years and Salem resident since 1994, is now one of fewer than 250 PTs in the nation to be named a Fellow of the APTA.
Studer qualified for, was nominated by peers, and was subsequently awarded this designation, which will be presented at the APTA national conference this June in Phoenix, AZ. The award, formally known as the Catherine Worthingham Fellow of the APTA, requires that honorees be exemplary in each of the fields of clinicial care, research, writing, leadership, and volunteerism.
In a recent phone interview regarding this award, Studer said, “I am humbled by this award. While it is a reflection of my consistent work ethic and passion for physical therapy, it is every bit a reflection of my peers, mentors, and family support.”
