During the Salem Chamber’s July board meeting, the Board of Directors overwhelmingly approved Chamber support of M24-399. M24-399 is a local bond measure that will, if passed, provide funding for a much needed police facility for the City of Salem’s Police Department.
For the past year, City Staff along with a diverse group of community members and professionals from the architectural community have vetted locations and designs that reflect the needs of community enforcement today and into the next 3 to 4 decades. The proposed location of the former O’Brien Auto Group site is centrally located and currently on the market.
