Salem, Ore. Aug 3, 2021 Salem police, fire, and emergency responders are on a mission to help save lives by collecting blood for hospital patients in need during the Battle of the Badges blood drive.
Battle of the Badges is a friendly competition to see who can recruit the most eligible blood donors to join them in this lifesaving effort. Supporting the Red Cross blood supply is another great way to touch lives in the communities these agencies serve every day and building comraderie.
The blood drive is open to the public. The community is encouraged to give blood on August 10th from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and August 11th from 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. at the Salem Police Department in the Community Room at 333 Division St NE in Salem, OR.
As a thank you, presenting donors will receive an exclusive T-Shirt and vote for their favorite agency. Winning agency gets bragging rights and a traveling plaque.
