Nick Williams announced as Salem Chamber’s Chief Operations Officer

SALEM, OR – Salem Area Chamber of Commerce CEO Dan Clem announced that, effective October 1st, Nick Williams will serve as Chief Operations Officer.
Previous to this appointment, Williams served in the role of Director of Operations for the Salem Area Chamber of Commerce. He has a well-rounded industry résumé that includes membership growth and development, representing the interests of business with government, public relations and leadership development through the Salem Young Professionals program.
Of the appointment, Clem stated “Our chamber has taken a tremendous step forward today. Nick’s relationships and leadership in the community are a tremendous asset to our organization. This next step in his career growth will serve our members and our city at a high level.”
Williams echoed those comments: “Salem is a city that is in absolute growth mode. It’s an honor to be able to serve with an exemplary team of staff and volunteer leaders in this new capacity. I’m excited for Salem’s next steps.”
The Chief Operations Officer will work in concert with Chief Executive Officer Dan Clem and Chief Development Officer Kathy Moore.
With the new role, Williams will lead the Chamber’s efforts relative to member engagement, public relations and business advocacy.
