On March 4, 2024, the Salem business community heard about national healthcare trends and our local system at Salem Health from healthcare expert Dr. John Combes, the Chief Communications and Public Policy Officer for the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME).
Dr. Combes presented fascinating information and statistics regarding the national trend toward hospital system consolidation and how Salem Health is moving in a different direction by working to build a more community-based and integrated system to serve our local population. As Salem Health’s Board of Trustees Chair, Dr. Combes also helped shine a spotlight on the incredible achievements of our local healthcare systems, along with the immense challenges we still face.
