Changing the narrative, improving outcomes.

We’ve all seen how the issue of homelessness has reached a crisis level in our community. We’ve heard from area business owners that help is needed to learn more about de-escalation, how and when to support a person who is homeless, and what resources are available.

United Way of the Mid-Willamette Valley is offering a workshop to our area business owners and their staff on August 21. Our panel of presenters; Phyllis Martin, PhD, Breezy Aguirre, ARCHES Project Program Manager and Salem Police Department will provide practical tools and important information about how to engage with individuals for better outcomes.

Seating is limited, and although this workshop is free, you must register to reserve a seat. There are two sessions, the first from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., and the second from 5:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Register here:
