Oregon State Credit Union hires James A. Patterson to be executive vice president, chief communications and experience officer
Corvallis, OR – Oregon State Credit Union has hired James A. Patterson as executive vice-president, chief communications and experience officer, effective June 3. The announcement was made by Richard Hein, chief executive officer at Oregon State Credit Union.
Patterson oversees Public Relations, Business Development, Marketing and Political Advocacy. He graduated with a Communications degree from Portland State University. Patterson will report directly to Hein.
Richard Hein said, “As Oregon State Credit Union continues to grow, providing positive member experiences and excellent service remains our highest priority. Jim brings excellent leadership experience and valuable skill sets that will ensure the organization remains focused on identifying friction points in our product and service delivery and with our team finding solutions that benefit our members. Jim is an excellent communicator and will be able to tell our story very well in whatever setting he is in.”
Patterson was previously the city manager for the city of Corvallis from October 2011 until August 2014. He has also worked for the OSU Foundation and OSU Athletics as Senior Associate Director of Athletics for Development. Most recently he was vice president for business development for Red Hills Group, LLC. Additionally, Patterson is no stranger to Oregon State Credit Union as he has previously served on the Board of Directors.
