The Salem Area Chamber of Commerce is uniquely positioned to provide leadership and promote solidarity at a time of heightened divisiveness, grief, and ongoing challenge. We are an organization which continues to embrace diversity and inclusion with open arms, for our membership, volunteer leaders, and within our staff of professionals. We stand with the Asian American & Pacific Islander communities in our city, state, and country as we condemn violence and hate directed towards our fellow neighbors, friends, and family members. The use of hateful language, slurs, and acts of aggression and violence only serve to fuel racist ideologies in our communities. The Salem Chamber does not tolerate racism, discrimination, or hatred and we continue to take proactive steps to make sure our organization is leading by example. Our members and their employees come from all walks of life. The Salem Chamber fosters a culture of inclusion, empowering our members to connect, belong, and grow together.
