The Stewardship of Plastic: Manufacture & Consumption

Salem, OR (April 11, 2019) – Salem City Club, a biweekly gathering of more than 100 members, will meet April 19 at the Willamette Heritage Center to discuss the manufacturing, stewardship, and benefits of plastic.

The focus of the discussion will be the foundation of plastic manufacturing and the exciting changes taking place to manage production, consumption, and disposal.

Kevin DeWhitt, PDO Technologies, will be the featured speaker. He has founded multiple technology companies and won awards for business waste conversion processes. He has degrees in chemistry and physics from Oregon State University.

The meeting will take place Friday, April 19, at noon at the Willamette Heritage Center at 1313 Mill Street St. SE. Members are free. Non-members pay $10. All have the option to purchase lunch for $20. Lunch begins at 11:30 a.m. Register online at SalemCityClub.com.
