Welcome to the newest member of our team, local mixologist, Ethan Plumb!
Salem, OR, Nov. 1, 2018— With a passion for mixology and a talent for putting on a spectacular show, the newest addition to the Bentley’s Grill team will undoubtedly bring a new type of energy and excitement to the bar scene.
Ethan Plumb has been selected as Bentley’s new bartender. Hailing from Rapid City, South Dakota, he moved to Salem two years ago to live near family.
Plumb is also the winner of a handful of small local bar competitions in South Dakota, including the 1st Annual South Dakota State Bartending Championship in 2016.
His favorite spirits include bourbon, tequila, mescal, and scotch. His favorite cocktails include the old fashioned, Last word, and Negroni.
With 11 years of experience in the service industry and nearly 10 as a bartender/barman, Plumb is passionate about maintaining an extraordinary level of bartending service, as well as exploring new changes in mixology, cocktails, spirits, and bar culture.
Upon accepting the job offer, Plumb stated, “I’m extremely privileged and excited to be a part of the Bentley’s Grill family. I’m also excited to work with such an amazing group of people and a bar program packed with potential!” As for his plans for Bentley’s, Ethan will work to reestablish it as the go-to restaurant in Salem, whether for an exciting night our or a romantic evening with a loved one.
Striving to elevate the bar program to new heights, he is going to bring in new craft cocktails, put his own creative spin on classic recipes, and create an atmosphere in which people can learn about the history of their drinks in addition to having a great experience at an amazing local bar and grill.
