2024 SAIF Agri-Business Banquet
On January 19, 2024, our business community gathered for the annual SAIF Agri-Business Banquet, presented by KeyBank, to recognize and celebrate our region and state’s incredible agricultural industry! Click above to watch the video recording of the event!
The evening included a cocktail reception, an impassioned speech by Oregon FFA Vice President and PGE’s Powering the Future Scholarship Recipient Kylie Temple, live music provided by Roundhouse Band, a keynote presentation on Oregon’s hazelnut industry by George Packing Company Hazelnuts President Larry George, and a fantastic event emcee in Jordan Truitt, Principal Broker at First Commercial Real Estate.
The SAIF Agri-Business Banquet is a celebration of the agricultural community and its impact on the mid-Willamette Valley. Nearly 12% of all jobs in Oregon are connected to farming and ranching, and about 97% of those farms and ranches are family owned and operated. Many have been in the same family for at least 100 years. (Source: Oregon Farm Bureau) This rich and proud history is honored through special entertainment with a message.
Each year, we also recognize an outstanding Future Farmers of America student for leadership in shaping the future of the industry. This fun event honors a special part of Oregon’s history and culture, while looking forward to its future.
