SAIF Agri-Business Banquet – January 17, 2025
WATCH: 2025 SAIF Agri-Business Banquet
On January 17, 2025, our business community gathered for the annual SAIF Agri-Business Banquet, presented by KeyBank, to recognize and celebrate our region and state’s agricultural community.
This year’s event featured a keynote presentation by Shaniko Wool Company Founder Jeanne Carver, a longtime Oregon rancher who has become a recognized leader in the textile industry by global fashion brands and wool production standards. Her pioneering direct-to-market approach and commitment to sustainable practices and her husband, Dan’s, legacy, awed and inspired our audience to dream big.
The wonderful evening also included a cocktail reception, live music provided by the Roundhouse Band, and a speech by PGE’s Powering the Future Scholarship Recipient Savanna Franson (Bend FFA Chapter). The live program was guided by Salem Chamber Board Member and Oregon Cattlemen’s Association Executive Director Tammy Dennee as this year’s emcee.
The SAIF Agri-Business Banquet is a celebration of the agricultural community and its impact on the mid-Willamette Valley. Nearly 12% of all jobs in Oregon are connected to farming and ranching, and about 97% of those farms and ranches are family owned and operated. Many have been in the same family for at least 100 years. (Source: Oregon Farm Bureau) This rich and proud history is honored through special entertainment with a message.
Each year, we also recognize an outstanding Future Farmers of America student for leadership in shaping the future of the industry. This fun event honors a special part of Oregon’s history and culture, while looking forward to its future.
The Salem Area Chamber of Commerce thanks all of our sponsors for their support and partnership in bringing you the SAIF Agri-Business Banquet. Your commitment and generosity make this event outstanding.
