Business advocacy

When it comes to local and state politics, your voice matters. Your membership at the Salem Chamber gives you a voice with local leaders to impact the business community. You can share your stories with politicians and positively change legislation and public policy. Learn more about business advocacy.

Promote your business 

Want to build awareness for your business and attract new customers? Sharing your news, events, photos, and videos on Member News – our members-only business media form that posts to the Chamber website and social media – is a great way to build you online presence. By submitting your business news on the Member News form, you have the chance to be featured in the You can also submit your news for publication in the 503 – the Salem Chamber’s Magazine.

Ribbon Cuttings – Ribbon Cuttings are a complimentary service the Salem Area Chamber of Commerce provides to members. The Chamber provides the camera, scissors and the ribbon. Photos taken at the event will be published on the Chamber Facebook page for added exposure.

Involvement 

There are many ways to get involved with the Salem Chamber. Participation is not a requirement, but here are a few ways you can have a positive impact:

  • Community involvement – We want to know your story! Tell us about your education and background and about how you got to where you are today. Sharing your insights can help tell the Salem Chamber story, while also preparing our youth for the workforce and help students develop leadership skills through The Inspire Foundation. The Inspire Foundation is the charitable arm of the Chamber that is dedicated to creating opportunities to learn about business and the Salem community for students.
  • Professional development – Whether you are a seasoned professional or new to the community, the professional development opportunities offered through the Chamber are useful for everyone. Through education and hands-on experiences, these individuals graduate with a better understanding of the unique challenges facing our region, and can go on to create positive change that improves our quality of life.

The Chamber is a great place to start building relationships that can lead to new clients, contacts and customers. Our networking events are designed to open doors and help you meet the people and grow your business.
