On Friday, September 6, the Salem Economic Development Corporation (SEDCOR) annual awards celebration, Lesa Goff, SEDCOR board member, presented Salem Electric with the Business Partner of the Year Award in recognition of Salem Electric’s contributions to the community and operations of SEDCOR programs.
Tony Schacher, Salem Electric General Manager, accepted the award on behalf of Salem Electric saying, “To be selected as the recipient of the SEDCOR Business Partner of the Year award is a great honor. As an electric cooperative we are guided by seven cooperative principles, number seven being concern for community. Being active in the economic development of the region is critical to the long term success of our members. Recognition for those efforts is a great tribute to the work we are doing. When our members are successful, Salem Electric is successful.”
Salem Electric is a member-owned electric cooperative serving over 18,500 members in portions of Salem and Keizer, Oregon.
