On April 6, 2023, local leaders gathered at the Chamber for a presentation by the City of Salem about parking in downtown Salem. The presentation covered some of the history, past actions by Salem City Council, and current recommendations that would implement paid parking in the downtown area.
In addition, attendees got an update on the Legislative Session from Chamber lobbyist Nicole Palmateer Hazelbaker, which included statuses of consequential bills the Chamber is tracking, as well as bills that did not make it out of policy committees alive.
