At our monthly Business Advocacy Meeting on July 10, 2025, the business community received an update from Salem Police Chief Trevor Womack on public safety in downtown Salem, current crime rates, and how his department is working with the resources available to serve community needs to the best of its ability.
The meeting also included a recap of the 2025 Legislative Session (which concluded at the end of June) from the Salem Chamber’s contracted lobbyist, the Oregon Restaurant & Lodging Association, and Representative Kevin Mannix (HD21), including which business-related bills ultimately passed, failed, or stalled this session.
