At our monthly Business Advocacy Meeting on July 9, 2026, the business community received updates from City of Salem staff and City Councilor Paul Tigan (Ward 1) on the City’s approved budget for fiscal year 2027, its budget priorities, and its new Prevent, Treat, and Enforce initiative designed to address opioid abuse in the community.
In addition, attendees heard from the Marion County Sheriff on public safety and from the Salem Chamber’s contracted lobbyist about the recent Legislative Days, as well as proposed bill concepts for the next Legislative Session.
Thank you to everyone who attended in person and online, including our panel of presenters.
