On August 3, 2023, business leaders and Chamber members heard from Chemeketa Community College representatives about a potential upcoming bond proposal at our monthly Business Advocacy Committee Meeting.
The meeting also included an update from Oregon Business & Industry Political Affairs Director Preston Mann about the current status of the referendum effort regarding the Employee-Paid Payroll Tax that Salem City Council recently approved.
Oregon Bureau of Labor & Industries (BOLI) Commissioner Christina Stephenson was also slated to present at the meeting, but was not able to attend.
