On November 19, 2019, the Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on proposed code changes resulting from the Multifamily Housing Design project. Community input on the project was shared through open houses, focus groups and an online survey. Click here to review the proposed code changes.
The proposed changes to the multifamily housing design aim to meet Salem’s housing needs to ensure new development is compatible with Salem’s current neighborhoods, and to remove barriers preventing further development of multifamily housing.
