Longtime local CPA, non-profit volunteer, and McLaran Leadership Foundation Board President Kathy Gordon will be honored with a Distinguished Service Award at the First Citizen Awards Banquet on Saturday, April 13.

Known as one of the region’s top tax and accounting professionals, Kathy Gordon spent over 30 years as a partner with Aldrich CPAs + Advisors, helping establish the firm as one of the finest in the Northwest while helping countless local businesses and individuals with tax strategies and planning. Kathy currently serves as a CPA with RP Smith CPA PC.
Always answering the call to strengthen her community, Kathy has utilized her professional prowess, expertise, and leadership skills in serving a multitude of non-profit organizations over her extraordinary career and life in Salem. Some of her volunteer work includes serving on the board of the Salem Health Foundation, as a past president of the Salem Area Chamber of Commerce, and as the current president of the McLaran Leadership Foundation, where she has been instrumental in creating a vision to develop and empower our community’s current and future leaders. Additionally, Kathy serves as a volunteer treasurer for St. Paul’s Episcopal Church and is the board vice chair for the children’s advocacy non-profit Liberty House.
Selflessly serving her community with grace, professionalism, humility, and compassion, Kathy is an admired servant leader we’re proud to recognize with this award!
