On February 12, 2024, United States Congresswoman (Oregon’s 6th District) Andrea Salinas spoke to the Salem business community at our Forum Speaker Series luncheon, where she shared her perspective and insights as one of our state’s representatives in the nation’s capital.

Following a keynote address with updates on some of her recent activity and work in Washington, Congresswoman Salinas sat down for a conversation with Salem Chamber Board President Alan Rasmussen, which covered a wide range of key topics and issues from both the federal and state levels. The conversation touched on government spending and foreign aid, homelessness and the addiction crisis in Oregon, Measure 110 reform, forest land management, immigration at the southern U.S. border, how Congresswoman Salinas is working across the political aisle in DC on behalf of Oregonians, and more.

We thank Congresswoman Salinas and her staff for sharing this time to engage with us, and all the members of our business community who came to hear from her.

We’d also like to thank the Salem Convention Center for providing the venue and meal, and Allied Video Productions and Capital Community Media for their help with producing this event.

Finally, a huge thanks goes to Capitol Auto Group for serving as this month’s Forum Sponsor and to Hagan Hamilton Insurance Solutions for being our Presenting Sponsor for the entire 2023-2024 Forum Speaker Series season.

We hope you join us on March 4, 2024, for another engaging Forum Speaker Series luncheon as we welcome national healthcare expert Dr. John Combes to highlight “National Trends Impacting Healthcare in Salem.”
