On January 8, 2024, Governor Tina Kotek spoke to more than 300 members of the Salem business community at our January Forum Speaker Series luncheon, detailing some of her legislative priorities for the year ahead along with the biggest issues facing Oregonians today.

Following an approximate 10-minute keynote address, the Governor graciously sat down for a conversation with Salem Chamber Board President Alan Rasmussen, which covered a wide range of key topics and issues. The conversation touched on homelessness issues, the debate around Measure 110 reform, the City of Salem’s budget, public school funding and school choice, and much more. As a resident of Salem, Governor Kotek also spoke to her love and appreciation for our city.

We thank Governor Kotek and her staff for sharing this time to engage with us, and all our Chamber members and community partners who came to hear from her.

We’d also like to thank the Salem Convention Center for providing the venue and meal, and Allied Video Productions and Capital Community Media for their help with producing this event.

Finally, a huge thanks goes to Summit Wealth Management for serving as this month’s Forum Sponsor and to Hagan Hamilton Insurance Solutions for being our Presenting Sponsor for the entire 2023-2024 Forum Speaker Series season.

We hope you join us on February 12 for another engaging Forum Speaker Series luncheon as we welcome Congresswomen Andrea Salinas and Lori Chavez-DeRemer to share their insights and perspectives representing Oregon on Capitol Hill.
