On Monday, March 20, 2023, the Forum Speaker Series welcomed a panel of health experts to discuss the increase and prevalence of the deadly synthetic opioid fentanyl in our community. Click above to watch the presentation.
The panel enlightened our audience about some troubling, but need-to-know facts about the drug, how it’s trafficked, the differences between medical and illicit fentanyl, and recovery services for those in treatment.
In addition, the Forum recognized the Advanced Construction Education (ACE) Board with the monthly Spirit of Salem Award for its work in mentoring and educating local students in the construction industry. Board members Dan Dorn (President of Sunco Homes and Remodeling) and Mike Riddle (Owner of Mike Riddle Construction) accepted the award on behalf of the board.
We’d like to thank our panel of presenters for sharing their expertise on this challenging, yet important topic.
Moderator – Dr. Mark Stewart, Professor of Psychology at Willamette University
