On May 13, 2024, our Forum Speaker Series welcomed NW Natural executives David Anderson (CEO) and Justin Palfreyman (President) to talk to the Salem business community about the current state of their industry, the industry’s economic impact on the region, and how NW Natural and other utility companies are using technology and innovative processes to address climate issues.
Following an engaging presentation, NW Natural’s leaders sat down with Salem Chamber Board President Alan Rasmussen for a conversation that dug even deeper into the biggest challenges our vital utilities face today. The discussion tackled ways to educate policymakers and environmental groups on research that illustrates our need for natural gas, how companies like NW Natural continue to work with local governments and municipalities to protect the environment, and how the industry is evolving.
