Corvallis, OR – Oregon State University College of Business has selected Oregon State Credit Union as the recipient of their 2022-2023 Distinguished Business Partner Award. According to the College of Business, the award recognizes a company, business or industry group whose joint efforts have resulted in significant benefits to the professional development of students, its employees or individuals pursuing job training/retraining for future employment.

Sarah Hart Kimball Dean of Oregon State University’s College of Business Tim Carroll, PhD, said the credit union was chosen in recognition of their significant support and collaboration with the university’s mission. “As an employer, they are highly engaged and creating a scholarly, community-based work environment that positively impacts both the community and scholarship efforts. We are proud to honor them with this award.”

Laurie Roe, the credit union’s executive vice president/chief communication and experience officer, said the award, though unexpected, is greatly appreciated. “Our long-standing partnership with the College of Business is one of collaboration and a shared vision to provide sustaining resources in support of education and the communities we serve,” she said.

The award was presented June 8 at a reception with student club leaders at The Vue in Corvallis.
