The Salem Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors announced today that they will be reopening the search in the recruitment process for CEO Jason Brandt’s successor.

After beginning the search earlier this year, the Selection Committee received a high level of interest in the position. The field was narrowed to three applicants. The position was offered to one of the applicants, however, negotiations fell through. The Selection Committee decided to restart the search process.

“The Selection Committee is working with the best interests of the Chamber in their minds and their actions,” said Salem Chamber Board President Barb Hacke Resch. “The Selection Committee seeks a leader who will be a good steward of the best that has already been built in the previous years, and someone who will build us up to a new level and continue to represent the interests of business.”

The job description detailing qualifications and related information along with information on the application process can be downloaded here. Qualified individuals are encouraged to apply. Applications will be reviewed as received.

In February, the Salem Chamber announced that Brandt will be leaving to take the position of President and CEO at the Oregon Restaurant and Lodging Association. The transition is scheduled to take place this summer.
