Join us on Tuesday, August 7th, at 6 p.m. for our summer edition of PETTalks! We’ll be connecting with Joy St. Peter, of Joys of Living Assistance Dogs, and Terri Allen, of Pure Joy Canine Therapy. If you’ve ever wanted to know more about dogs with jobs, this is the talk for you.

Joy and Terri will tell us more about the difference between service dogs, emotional support animals, and therapy dogs. By the end of the lecture you’ll understand how dogs train for these jobs, and what they’re expected to do in their work. We’ll learn how these dogs are certified (or not), and we’ll understand the rules and regulations that apply to dogs in these positions. Whether you are a pet professional, business owner, landlord, social worker, assistant dog handler, or potential therapy dog or assistant dog volunteer, this is the education event to attend. We hope to see you there.
